NFIRS 5.0 New Features

Ver 3.9.5 Add support for Burlington County users to allow them to obtain NFIRS report information from the County’s CAD system

Ver 3.7.18 Adds the ability to use barcodes to enter apparatus and personnel. The system also has the capability to print a sheet with barcodes for each apparatus and person, and instructions. New Jersey Systems: A special remarks template is available to enter and print the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s report sheet (for reimbursement for calls on the turnpike).

Ver 3.6.3 Add option to allow the Department to set a policy so that user defined pick-lists won’t “learn” when reports are entered. Normally, pick-lists such as street names, cities, etc. “learn” new names as you enter reports. This option can prevent the lists from being altered in situations where the Department pre-loads the lists.Highlights the active block on each form to make it easier to follow the data entry progress. When copying incident information from previous reports (frequent flyers), this adds the option to take use reports from prior years. Adds the option to do a mouse right-click to select the sort order for the Officer in Charge and Member Making Report field drop-downs. Adds a single-screen feature for quickly entering apparatus and personnel. Adds the option to select the sort order when picking equipment used from the equipment list. Adds option to lock reports to prevent changes to received reports in Distributed systems. New Jersey Systems: Displays NJ notification requirements when the report indicates a firefighter was taken to the hospital. Adds multiple FDID support.
Ver 3.5.1  Provides NFIRS semi-annual update support for August 2000 cycle.Adds a feature to obtain owner/occupant information for commercial properties from the Inspection database.
Ver 3.4.2 Adds “Cross-Tab” reports (both user and system). Cross-tab reports provide a similar capability to Excel pivot-tables, and can provide the reports directly from the program using simple menu selections.

Inspection System and the Property Maintenance System

Ver 4.3.0 Expanded the screen size options for users with higher resolution screens. Users with large screens will now see much more information per screen.

Ver 4.1.8 New feature to track who added or updated information in the system.

Ver 4.0.22 Invoice Status report now allows the use of “Use only selected…”. User reports can now be created in landscape format and have the option to use a large or small font size.

Ver 4.0.16 Add option on Master Cross-reference report to print either 1 or 3 lines per property. Provide the ability to sort the Fastcode list by number, violation or code section. Add “Copy” button to allow copying Building Owner information to Business Owner.

Ver 4.0.9 Special processing for Connecticut State special permits (Blasting, Open Burning, etc).

Ver 4.0.6 Add two new reports for New Jersey users. LEA Year End Report provides the information needed to complete the Division’s end of year report. LEA Inspection Report provides the information on LHU inspections and certificates that may be requested during an audit.

Ver 4.0.1 Change main property list and misc. fee list for expanded search options. Denote closed properties in red, active properties in blue. Allow users to omit closed properties from the property list.

Ver 3.9.12 Add support for “new” New York State Code Books (8).

Ver 3.9.10 Add support for Tablet PC®

Ver 3.9.7 On the Misc. Fees screen, provide dropdowns for “Fee Type” and “Reason for Fee” based on previously entered information.

Personnel and Training Records

Ver 2.49 Adds a new “tab” to the personnel information screen. This tab displays any items from the Inventory/Maintenance Manager that have been assigned to the person.

Ver 2.48 Add the ability to select individual fields to be exported into a CSV file.

Ver 2.43 Add the option to allow the Department to set a policy where an individual can view their own personnel information even if the person doesn’t have permission to use the Personnel and Training Records System.

Ver 2.41 Add options for database search and manual record selection.

Ver 2.33 New York State systems: add OSHA training category breakdown report and tracking for the 8 OSHA training categories plus 4 user selectable categories.

Ver 2.31 Add ability to save preferences for grades, sort order for the attendance list, attendee and instructor lists, level of detail to display, etc.

Ver 2.23 Add ability to save member photos, and to print Member ID Cards, Firefighter Accountability Tags and other style cards and tags.

Inventory/Maintenance Manager

Ver 4.29 Add support for depreciation calculations.

Ver 4.24 Adds the option to allow the Department to limit which member names are used in the “Assigned To” database field. When this limit is imposed, only the names listed in the Personnel and Training Records System can be used.

Ver 4.23 Adds support for Unitech barcode scanners in addition to UDI scanners.

 
Hydrant Locations and Maintenance:

Ver 4.09 Adds the ability to display and print flow curves (graphs) per NFPA standard 291, and to calculate flow rates for hydrants and other devices.

 
FireWatch® New Features:

Ver 1.20 Support for merging databases from multiple agencies into one master database added. This feature is of interest to single agencies who have multiple interviewers, each with their own computer but still want one master database. It is also of interest to county or state agencies who want to maintain a master database of cases collected from other agencies (such as fire departments or mental health departments) that do the actual interviews.

Ver 1.11 Allow interviewer’s “level of concern” to be entered.
